Carbon Footprint Management 2.5-Day Program

In tabling the 2014 Budget, a slew of measures to promote environmental conservation and resource management were introduced. These include National Carbon Reporting Programme or MyCarbon for the corporate sector.

Alerting Penangites to be vigilant in the face of environmental degradation, jeopardizing health and welfare, Penang Green Council (PGC) will be the collaboration partner for a 2.5-day Carbon Footprint Management Program with Aspects International Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (in partnership with Blue Snow Consulting & Engineering Sdn Bhd).

Aspects International Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is one of the IEMA (Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment) approved training provider organisations and courses. It is an independent environmental consultancy that provides a full range of professional assistance necessary to assess corporate requirements for policy, strategy, training needs and to successfully select and introduce Environmental Management Systems, GHG & Sustainability Services; this leads to improved profitability through environmentally cleaner performance.

The course is HRDF claimable and it is ideal for government officers, corporate sector or anyone that need to know how to calculate and reduce carbon footprint in an organisation, product or service and to develop sustainability and carbon reduction strategies. Lunch will be provided for the program. Participants will be given a certificate of participation at the end of the program.

From the program, participants will also be able to develop initiatives and respond to climate change; also to be able to calculate a carbon footprint, manage and minimise climate change impact and achieve tangible benefits such as cost savings and good publicity.

The attacks on our environment have gotten more disastrous. We need to keep a watchful eye on reducing our carbon footprint by saving energy and to work out energy efficient or alternatives measures.

Participants who sign up before or on the 31st March 2014 will be entitled to an early-bird rate at RM 1908.00 (inclusive of 6% government service tax) per delegate while normal charge will be RM 2385.00 (inclusive of 6% government service tax) per delegate. The cutoff date for registration is 25 April 2014.
